Recruitment Board (RRB), Mumbai
has released result of Second Stage Written Examination (Main Examination) which
was conducted on 18th August 2013 on the official website in which a
list of 702 shortlisted candidates are released who are called for aptitude
test. The aptitude test
is schedule on 16th March 2015 to 20th March 2015 at 8:30
AM onwards in RAIL NIKUNJ, near RRB Office, Mumbai Central, Mumbai – 40000.
The Aptitude Call Letters indicating the exact date and time are being
mailed to the Email address mentioned in the application of the candidates. It
is mandatory for the candidates to reach venue of aptitude test on time. Late
coming candidates will not be allowed to attend Aptitude Test. The Aptitude
Test will comprise of document verification of these shortlisted candidates.
The shortlisted candidates are required to bring their original documents at
the venue of aptitude so that originality of candidates will be checked by RRB
Officials. Earlier RRB Mumbai had released notification advertisement no.
02/2012 on 12th May 2012 invited online application for 2646 posts
of Assistant Station Master (ASM) published in Employment Newspaper dated 12 May- 18 May 2012. The
last date of the application was 11th June 2012. A huge numbers of
candidates had applied. Those candidates who had qualified for preliminary test
(First Stage Examination) which was scheduled on 02nd December 2012
(postponed from 28th December 2012) was called for Main Examination
(Second stage examination) which was conducted on 18th August 2013.

ASM Recruitment 2012 – Exam Syllabus, Exam Pattern & Selection Process
The Final Selection of the candidates will be
based on the performance in written examination (Preliminary & Main Exam as
First & Second Stage) made strictly as per merit. There will be a common
Preliminary Examination for all the notified categories. Those who qualify for
the Main (second stage) Exams will have the option to appear in the Main
(second stage) Examinations.
1st Stage – Written Exam
The
RRB Written Exam was conducted on various dates in the month of June / July
2014. The written test was conducted manually on the OMR sheet which was to be
filled by blue/black ball point pen.

ASM Exam contained two parts. One part is General Ability Test and Second
part is Technical Ability Test. General Ability Test consisted of multiple
choice questions of Reasoning i.e. General Intelligence, Quantitative
Aptitude, English and General Knowledge where as Technical Ability Test
consist of multiple choice questions of basics of respective engineering
stream mentioned by the applicants. The marks for General Ability Test were 60
marks contained 60 multiple choice questions each of one mark. The marks for
Technical Ability Test were 90 contained 90 multiple choice questions each of
one mark. Each right answer would increase the total marks by one and each
wrong answer would deduce final marks by 0.33 marks. The test was conducted
against total marks of 150.
2nd Stage – Aptitude Test
The RRB Aptitude Test contains
Memory test, Direction Test, Depth Perception Test, Concentration Test and
Perpectual Speed Test. The merit will be drawn only for the candidates
qualifying in the aptitude test, with 70% weightage being given to the marks
obtained in the Main (second stage) Examination & 30 % weightage being
given to the marks obtained in the aptitude test), availability of vacancies
and reservation rules. Aptitude Test will be comprised of document verification
of these shortlisted candidates.
Documents
Verification Requirement
All the selected candidates must reach the venue of aptitude test at
least 20-30 minutes before the time mentioned (i.e.
9:00 AM Sharp) on the aptitude test call letter of the candidate.
Selected candidates are required to bring computer generated online
application, result print, original documents (10th,
12th, UC DMC, Cast certificate –If applicable etc.) and one set of
self-attested of all the documents to the venue of aptitude Test. 10th
Certificate is used for Age Proof. Candidate
must bring at least one Address proof i.e. PAN Card, Ration
Card, Aadhar Card, Voter card or Driving License. Candidates are advised to bring two
extra colored recent passport size photograph (same as pasted on computer
generated application form) required for application form or other document
requirements. Candidate must bring Caste/PWD/EXS certificate to claim for
seat available for reserve category. If the candidate is an employer of any
organization then it is mandatory to bring original as well as photocopy of NOC
(No Objection Certificate) with them.
