University of Mysore has released notification
of criteria for declaration of result of Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET)
of Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. It has released cut-off marks required to
qualify Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lecturership in various subjects
such as Commerce, Kannada, Economics, English, Political Science, History,
Geography, Hindi Sociology, Management, Tourism and Administrator, Psychology,
Social work, Criminology, Law, Sanskrit, Physical Education, Folk Literature,
Urdu, Public Administration, Computer Science and Application, Physical
Science, Mathematical Science, Chemical Science, Life Science, Environmental
Science, Home Science, Electronic Science and Home Science. Earlier K-SET
notification had released on 20th June 2014. The last date of submitting
online application was 31st July 2014. K-SET written examination had
conducted successfully on 30th November 2014 at 11 various centres
i.e. Bengaluru, Belgaum, Bellary, Bijapur, Davangere, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Mangalore,
Mysore, Shimoga and Tumkur. A huge numbers of candidates had appeared in the
exam.
The latest news is that K-SET result is
going to be announced in the end of the month February 2015. Those candidates
who had appeared in the exam and waiting for this most awaiting result, they
can download their result from the direct link provided in the end of the posts.

About K-SET
Exam 2014- Exam pattern, Exam Syllabus, Qualifying Marks and Process of
SelectionK-SET Exam 2014 was successfully conducted on 30th November 2014. The K-SET Exam was conducted by Pen MODE. The OMR sheet was to be filled by Blue/Black ball point pen.
The written exam was consisted of three
papers i.e. Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 in morning and evening session. Paper
1 was schedule in the morning from 09:30 AM to 10:45 AM, then Paper 2 was
started after a break of 15 minutes that means from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Paper
3 was conducted in the noon from 01:30 PM to 04:00 PM.
In Paper 1 –
Multiple choice questions (MCQ)
Exam was designed to access the
teaching/research aptitude by solving reasoning ability, comprehension,
divergent thinking and general awareness questions in the exam. IN this paper a
total of 60 Multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of
which the candidate was required to answer any 50 questions and four options
are provided out of which candidates need to choose one correct answer. Total
marks for exam was 100 marks. The time duration for exam was 1 ¼ hours
or 75 minutes.
In Paper 2 –
Multiple choice questions (MCQ)
In Paper 2, a total of 50 questions each
of carrying 2 marks were provided and all questions were compulsory to answer.
There was no choice in paper 2. Total marks for exam was 100 marks. The
time duration for exam was 1 ¼ hours or 75 minutes.
In Paper 3 –
Multiple choice questions (MCQ)
In Paper 3, a total of 75 questions
each of carrying 2 marks were provided and all questions were compulsory to
answer. There was no choice in paper 3. Total marks for exam was 150 marks. The
time duration for exam was 2 ½ hours or 150 minutes.
