Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion board (UP PRPB), Lucknow had published notification for the posts of Sub Inspectors for male and female candidates and online applications were invited on www.uppbpb.gov.in.


Huge numbers of candidates are going to appear for written exam and physical test.

UP Police SI Exam 2021 PET PST Merit List  Available on www.uppbpb.gov.in

The final selection will be made on the basis of performance in four stages i.e. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST), written test, medical examination and document verification of the shortlisted candidates.

·         PET/ PST: Qualifying round (Add no marks to the final merit list)

·         Physical Standard Test (PST): Height: For Male – 168 cm for General & 160 cm for SC/ ST, Chest – 79 cm, after expansion 84 cm for General & 77 cm, after expansion 82 cm for SC/ ST min 5 cm expansion

·         Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Race – 4.8 KM in 28 minutes

·         Written Test: 100 Marks

·         Type of Test: Objective Type

·         Type of question paper: Multiple choices Question (MCQ)

·         Mode of Exam: Conventional / Pen-paper based / OMR sheet based

·         Total: 400 questions

·         Syllabus: General Hindi (100 questions), General Knowledge based on Law & Constitution (100 questions), Numerical Ability (100 questions) and Reasoning test (100 questions)

·         Time Duration: 60 minutes

·         Minimum qualifying marks: 50%

·         Medical exam: Physical checking by MBBS doctors of UP PRPB.

·         Document verification: Check originality of the candidates

UP Police SI PET PST Result 2021 Appointment Letter

PRPB had released Final result/Cut off Marks /Scorecard / Marks detail on official website based on the performance in Physical Test followed by Preliminary Written test, Physical Endurance Test followed by Main Written Exam and finally merit list for a total of posts of Sub-Inspectors. 

Many posts of Platoon Commander vacancies in Provincial Armed Constabulary PAC pay scale Rs.9300-34800+Grade Pay Rs.4200 against advertisement.

PRPB had released Final result in which merit list is prepared based on the performance (marks obtained) in written examination (Main) & group discussion. 


PRPB had released category wise Final cut off marks for Sub-Inspector Post as well as Platoon Commander Post on the official website on the basis of which selection is made.


Earlier UPPRPB had released notification in which prescribed OMR application forms duly filled by own hand written required depositing to all Main/ Head Post Offices in all the districts of UP. Those candidates who had attended group discussion / personal interview; they can download their final result from the direct link provided in the end of the posts.

About UP PRPB CONSTABLE Written Main Exam Syllabus and Selection Process            

Physical Test

Physical standards laid down for the post of SI was

a) Height: For Males : 170 cms. For Females : 157 cms.

b) Chest: For males only – Unexpanded : 80 cms. - Expanded : Min expansion 5 cms.

c) Weight : For males and Females : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards

Written Examination

The qualified candidates were called for Written Examination.

Examination was conducted for qualifying Nature. The shortlisted candidates were called for PET.

Physical Endurance Test

It was consisted of Physical efficiency test, Screening of Testimonials, Physical Measurement / Endurance test.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

·         For Male candidates Race 5 Kms in 24 minutes.

·         For Female candidates Race 1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes

·         For candidates of Ladakh Region:

·         Male Race 1 Mile in 6 ½ minutes

·         Female Race 800 meters in 4 minutes

·         Pregnancy at the time of PET will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage.

·         PET will not be held for Ex-Servicemen.

However, they were required to qualify in the medical examination.

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (PRPB) conduct Medical Examination for the selected candidates. Those candidates who had provisionally selected for the posts of SI & Platoon Commander in PAC as the result announced; they can download their online admit cards from the direct link provided in the end of the posts. 

Candidates are required to logging in their account by entering Registration number, date of birth and verification code (as provided on screen) to the provided columns to download admit cards. The time, date and venue of Medical Examination is mentioned in the admit cards. It is mandatory to be on time as well as required to carry printout of admit card to the venue of medical examination. Affix a coloured photograph in the box provided and bring a photo identity proof such as Voter Card ID or PAN Card ID of the candidate.

Medical Examination Details.

Medical Examination will be conducted by authorized PRPB doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to SI & Platoon Commander. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion should be of 5 cms. The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties under certain conditions.


Eye sight


The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

1) The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

2) They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Final Stage – Appointment Letter/ Joining Date

The Finally Selected Candidates for these posts should bring and deposit the list of document which is provided below at the time of receiving appointment letter from the authority.  The appointment Letter will contain the date of joining and reporting time along with venue of appointment. The candidate will have to report at the venue mentioned in the appointment letter on the fixed date.

Candidates are advised to bring the list of document at the time of getting appointment letter from authority of PRRB. Candidate may have to deposit Photocopies of the documents provided in the list below:

·         10th , 12th , Graduation DMC

·         Age proof like school leaving certificate or any other

·         Photo identity proof like Pan Card, Voter Card ID etc.

·         Final Result Merit List Copy

·         Address proof i.e. Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Voter card or Driving License

·         Two extra colored recent passport size photograph (same as pasted on computer generated application form)

·         Caste/PWD/EXS certificate to claim for seat available for reserve category.

·         Any other Relevant document that candidate mentioned at the time of application for these posts
