Question 1:
If the numerator of a fraction is
increased by 200% and the denominator is increased by 400% then the result is 1
1/20. What is the original fraction?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
Let the numerator N and denominator D
is 100%.
Then it is given that
Numerator increases = 200%
Then increased numerator becomes =
200N+100N = 300N
Numerator increases = 400%
Then increased numerator becomes =
400D+100D = 500D
According to question statement:
300N / 500D = 1 1/20
3 N / 5 D = 21/20
After cross multiplication:
N / D = 7 / 6
N / D = 1 1/6 Ans

Question 2:
If the numerator of a fraction is
increased by 200% and the denominator is increased by 350% then the result is
5/12. What is the original fraction?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
100+200N / 100+350D = 5/12
300 N / 450 D = 5/12
2 N / 3 D = 5 /12
After cross multiplication:
N / D = 15 / 24
N / D = 5/8 Answer
---------------------------------------------
Question 3:
What is the 35% of 45% of 6/5th of
500?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
It is given that
35% = 35 / 100 = 7 /20
40% = 40 / 100 = 8 /20
In question ‘of’ means Multiplication.
Thus it becomes
= 7/20 *8/20 * 6/5 * 500
= 84 Answer
-------------------------------------------------
Question 4:
What should come in the place of both
the question marks in the following question?
? / 169 = 625 / ?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
? / 169 = 625 /?
Do cross multiplication:
(?)2 = 169 * 625
? = √ 169 * 625
? = 13 * 25
? = 325 Answer

Question 5:
The product of two successive numbers
is 9506. Which is the smaller number among followings?
a) 96
b) 97
c) 98
d) 99
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
Let us check the last digit of the
product of two successive numbers which must be followed by last digit.
In this statement the last digit is 6.
Then take series of successive numbers
i.e. 96 97 98 99.
Last digits of 96 97 is = 6 x 7 = 42
i.e. 2 which is not equal to given last digit 6.
Last digits of 98 99 is = 8 x 9 = 72
i.e. 2 which is not equal to given last digit 6.
Last digits of 97 98 is = 7 x 8 = 56
i.e. 6 which is equal to given last digit 6. Thus the smaller number these two
successive number is = 97 Answer
-------------------------------------------------
Question 6:
In how many ways the word ‘SMART’ can
be arranged?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
Total number of letters = 5
Repeated Letters = Nil
Thus no. of ways of arrangement = 5! = 5x4x3x2x1
= 120 Answer
-------------------------------------------------
Question 7:
The difference of 3/5th of
4/5th of a number and 2/3rd of 3/5th of
same number is 392. What is that number?
Solution: By Using Fastest Math Tricks:
Let the number is x. Then Take ‘OF’ as
multiplication (Using BODMAS)
According to statement:-
3/5 * 4/5 * x – 2/3 * 3/5 *x = 392
x (12/25 – 2/5) = 392
x (2/25) = 392
x = 392 *25 / 2 = 3900 Answer
