Andhra Pradesh Police department
had started submitting applications from eligible candidates from 03rd
August 2016 against recruitment notice Rc. No.: 202//R&T/Rect.2/2016 for
4548 posts of Constable and Warder. The closing date was 14th
September 2016. A huge numbers of aspirants have applied and registered for
these posts. The physical test for these candidates is planned to be held on 16th
October 2016.
AP Police department is working
on preparing Constable Warder Physical Test Admit card which is expected to be
available 28th September to 01st October 2016 on official

Andhra Pradesh Police preliminary
exam will be objective exam of qualifying nature only. It will be held to find
out genuine candidates who are willing to join constable and warder posts in AP
Police. The candidates will have to appear and qualify preliminary exam to
attend further stages of recruitment for AP Police Constable 2016-17.
The preliminary exam will contain
one paper of 200 question for 200 marks to be held on 16th October
2016. The questions will be multiple choice and four options will be provided.
The exam will be held on OMR sheet. On this OMR sheet, the respective correct
answer’s circles will be filled with black / blue ball point pen. The questions
will be set from English/ Urdu/ Telugu languages.
The qualifying marks for
preliminary exam is set as 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs/STs/ExS.
The qualified candidates will have to attend PMT/ PET which will be organized
after announcement of AP Police result of Preliminary exam.

AP Police Physical Test –
Mandatory Section Having Marks
First Physical Measurement test
(PMT) will be conducted in which height and chest (male) is measured as per
required standards provided in the AP Police notification. Those candidates who qualify
PMT will have to attend PET. The nature of AP Police Physical Test will be of qualifying
for all post codes except post code 22.

Three events will be organized in
which 1600 meter run is mandatory to qualify. The candidates have to qualify at
least one event out of remaining two physical test events.

For post code 22, Andhra Pradesh
Police PET will be held for 200 marks. All the three events are essential to be
qualified for further process. The marks will be provided to all the candidates
out of which successful candidates will be shortlisted for final written test.
The AP Police Admit card is
essentially carried by the candidates at the venue of PET. No candidates can
attend Constable Warder physical test without printed admit card and photo
identity proof.

The Physical test qualified
candidates will be able to attend final written test which will be held for 100
marks for Post Code Nos. 22 and 200 marks for the rest of the post codes. A total 200 questions of MCQ type will be provided
to deliver answers within time period of three hours.
In the final written test, the
candidates must secure marks 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs/STs/ExS.
The final merit list will be prepared out of 200 marks. (For Post code 22,
physical test -100 marks & final written test – 100 marks).
The medical exam with document verification
will be held for these candidates.
