Selection Process
The final selection
process Delhi Police Constable posts will be comprised of four steps or stages
which need to be qualified for final appointment joining of the candidate. This
stages are discussed as -
1. Physical test (PET/
PST)
2. Written Test
3. Medical examination
Physical
Test
In the physical test, first the measurement test
would be conducted in which height (both male and female) and chest (for male
only) shall be confirmed with standards provided in the notification. Those
candidates who meet the required standard for constable posts shall be sent for
physical efficiency test. In PET, three rounds; race, high jump and long jumps
shall be organized in which efficiency of these candidates will be checked and
verified.
The Delhi Police Physical Test call letter will
be available online in the month of October 2017. The standard requirement of
measurement test and PET has been provided below.
Standards
for Measurement Test:
· Height
– 165 cm for male and 155 cm for female
· Chest
– 76 to 80 cm for male only
Standards
for PET:
Race: 1600
meters (One Chance)
· Time
for male candidates: 6 minutes and
· Time
for female candidates: 8 minutes
High Jump: 3.9 Feet for males and 3 Feet for
females
Long Jump: 14 Feet for males and 10 feet for
females
Those candidates who will be qualified in PET
shall be called for written test which is planned to be held very soon. The
Delhi Police department will upload online Admit card for these qualified
candidates for written test which is mandatory to produce at exam centes. The
online admit card for constable exam will be released after the result
declaration of PET. It is expected that Delhi Police Constable Admit card for
written exam will be available in 20-22 days before the written exam date. The
call letter is tentatively be released very shortly.

Test
Delhi Police exam will be an objective type
offline examination in which 100 MCQ will be provided for 100 marks. The
question would be asked from three sections; General Knowledge, Reasoning and
Numerical Ability. The time duration will be 1 ½ hours with giving extra time.

The final selection will be made by measuring performance in Physical
Efficiency Test and Measurement Test followed by written exam and medical exam
with document verification. Each stage is required to be qualified by the
